We are working closely with the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in researching several options for Faith Formation programs in the Fall of 2020, carefully and prayerfully trying to discern what will work best for St. Anne – Tomball. Given the uncertainties of the future months, the possibilities are overwhelming, so please pray with us for continued guidance by the Holy Spirit.
We give thanksgiving and praise to God for His accomplishments, with us as His instruments, as we near the end of Phase II and beginning of Phase III here in our Community. While our immediate focus is on the elements of each phase, please be assured that our thoughts and planning are also directed to the near future. We strive to take one step at a time while keeping our eyes on the path ahead, reaching for the next goal.
At this time, there are no definitive answers for our catechetical programs in the Fall – there are many contingencies, and we are doing our best to consider all of them. We will inform you as soon as we have reached conclusions.
In regards to Confirmation, we await decisions from our Cardinal on any changes from our formerly set date of September 4, 2020.
In the interim, rest assured that we recognize and value Catechesis and Evangelization of our Community – Adults, Teens, and Young Children - as a key element of Parish and School Life. We are most blessed to have Religious Sisters Rosalinda and Marcela on our staff to help me facilitate our success. With God as our stronghold, we know that within His timing He will enable us to do His Will, with the help and co-operation of all of you.
There are countless references in the Bible about anxiety and worry – I pray you are leaning on them for comfort, assurance, and guidance in these uncertain times – I know I have been! Today, I leave you with these:
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Philippians 4:6-7 Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Allowing the peace of Christ into our hearts and abiding in that peace lessens the struggle of worry and hindrance.
